Emerson Network Power has appointed Sunil Khanna as President and MD for India. Sunil takes over the reins of the business from Sandeep Nair who has been elevated to president of Fusite, an Emerson business headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
Sunil will be responsible for directing and leading the organization to drive growth and profitability in line with Emerson’s strategic direction and business ethics. He is also tasked with the responsibility of organizational development and talent management in order to sustain long term growth and enhance the company’s competitive edge in the market place.
Sunil will continue Emerson Network Power’s mission of delivering products, solutions and services tailored to the unique needs of India by leveraging its global technology leadership. He will be based in the company’s India headquarters in Mumbai and will report to Stephen Liang, president of Emerson Network Power Asia Pacific.
Sunil moves to Emerson Network Power after a challenging assignment as the vice president, strategic relations of Emerson (corporate) in India that he undertook in 2011. He had joined Emerson Process Management in 2004 as senior vice president, sales & operations in India and was elevated to managing director of the company in 2006. Prior to joining Emerson, Sunil held various leadership positions at ABB India including VP of automation technology, and divisional manager - South East Asia. He also has vast international work experience including postings in Singapore, Indonesia, UK and USA.
Sunil is an M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur and holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics Engineering from IIT (BHU). He is also a graduate of the Emerson Leadership Program.
